Here is the Panorama@Work team that has been assisting with neighborhood clean-ups over the past weekend and again this weekend.

The volume of work is enormous, and at times it truly feels as though we are barely making a dent, especially with grass cutting, which we try to carry out once a month.
Last weekend we began grass cutting along Rhinoceros Road and Hendrik Potgieter, particularly at the turn-off from Hendrik Potgieter into Rhinoceros Road, where the long grass makes it difficult to see oncoming vehicles. From there, we moved on to Albert Street near Adamson Crescent, an area where residents unfortunately do not maintain the space behind their properties. We also attended to grass cutting along Cornelius Street near Spark School, where we face similar challenges with unmaintained verges. Thereafter, we worked in Lemoendoring and Sewetjie, both high-risk streets due to excessive grass growth, and finished off at the Protea koppie, where additional grass cutting was done.

Today, the team returned to Rhinoceros Road to continue the clean-up. The photos clearly show just how severe the situation currently is. A team of six managed to clear only a small section, as the overgrowth, particularly on the traffic islands at the intersection, is extensive.

We will need to deploy our team there again during the next cycle to continue work at this intersection.
All of this is made possible through our residents’ annual subscription of R270 per year. Renewals are now open, and we strongly encourage new residents to sign up so we can continue building a stronger, cleaner, and safer community together.
